Why choose us? Many Internet service providers offer list hosting services. However, few of our peers can offer you the same depth of services.

We have an unlimited Extreme Lyris ListManager PRO ISP license and a direct Ethernet connection to redundant OC-3 Internet backbones to keep the mail flowing steadily. While many of our peers claim they can run large lists, many have never run lists over 1,000 subscribers. Dundee Internet Services currently runs several well known large lists ranging from 1,000 subscribers to over 1,500,000 subscribers!!

The Lyris Web Interface

Everything you can do with Lyris, you can do with your web browser using Lyris' extensive World-Wide-Web interface.

• You can read, contribute, search, join and leave using the web.
• List members can choose to receive messages by email, or read them on the web.
• The Lyris Secure Newsgroup Interface
• Lyris is capable of feeding your mailing list as a secure, private newsgroup.
• Lyris implements all the same security for newsgroups as apply to mailing lists. Thus, if your list is set to "allow visitors", then non-members will be able to read your newsgroup without joining. If your list is set to not allow visitors, only members will be allowed to read.
• Lyris also allows posting via a news browser. Postings via news browsers are treated exactly as if they came in via email. They are subject to all the same moderation, membership and security requirements that normal email is subject to. If a posting via a News browser is rejected, the poster will receive notification of this via an email message.
• Lyris also supports Newsgroup full text searching.

Security Features:

• To further protect the security and integrity of your data, Dundee Internet Service's Lyris servers implement the following security features:
• All administrative functions are password protected.
• All email sent to the Dundee ListManager servers are checked for viruses and spam via staging servers prior to being delivered to the ListManager servers.
• Different security roles (list admin, site admin, server admin) allow you to delegate rights and responsibilities.
• List members can password-protect their accounts.
• TCP/IP address mapping: can restrict functions to specific TCP/IP address. For instance, so that only people on computers within your organization can access Lyris.
